Ménage [LIVE] [NAARM]

Ménage is francophone slang for “housework”, but this three-piece live outfit work a heaping portion of a whole lot more into their analogue dance music demonstrations - You’ve simply never known artists so deep in the Australian underground to make waves like this across the pond. A trio born of a long friendship and mutual love of dancefloors, comprising of Sam Brickel, Dashiell and Eugene Pascal, greater than the sum of their already impressive parts. Together they cram atop a formidable hardware array, tweaking knobs and flicking faders of multiple synths and samplers to bring alive their work. These Naarmite natives lace their exhibitions with golden era vox; squeezing squeaky acidic melodies and full bodied basslines from the menagerie of machines at their command. Be it breakbeat, electro, trance, techno or straight house music, the Animalia and Merriware alumni productions and live sets always bring huge energy to the dance floor. Tight-but-not-too-tight drums root the whole shebang in the irresistibly dancy house music tempo zone, while their au naturel swag lifts the performance to a seriously heady height… Woah!
